Wewa women represented at leadership camp

Members of the GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club LaDonna Whitfield and Rhonda Alderman attended the 2021 GFWC FLORIDA Leadership Camp in Live Oak, with the goal of not just personal growth but to learn more about GFWC Florida initiatives for many charitable projects for our upcoming months.

Just a few are Summer of Service Day Saturday, August 21, and we are also collecting new socks and shoes for underprivileged children. Keep reading the Star, more information will be given throughout 2021.
Special thanks to the staff at Camp Weed, leadership program presenters, all GFWC Florida Executive Committee presenters and the GFWC Florida President Dianne Foerster for a highly informative weekend.
We are selling ‘the cook’s book,” a three -ring padded cookbook containing special recipes from club members and former members, for $20. We also have a limited amount of Wewahitchka collector plates for $20. These plates will not be reprinted so get yours while available. Both items make great gifts.
The GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club will be meeting Tuesday, August 10 at 5:30 p.m. at Glad Tidings Assembly of God’s fellowship hall in Wewahitchka. We welcome everyone to attend and find out what plans we have for upcoming events, fundraisers and community projects. Come and hear how you can be a part of an 85-year-old club, and being a volunteer to make a positive difference in your community and more.
