GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club wants everyone to be safe and make smart choices this Labor Day Weekend. Labor Day is a US federal holiday we observe on the first Monday of September every year. The day celebrates the American labor movement and the contributions and achievements of the American worker. This three-day weekend ends the summer season.

We are gearing up for upcoming fundraisers to be able to fund many of our community events. Keep an eye on The Star for more information. Environment Chairman Donna Stitz recommends going to our fundraising site to see catalog  GFWCWEWA.fpfundraising.com.

The GFWC Wewahitchka Woman’s Club will be meeting Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Glad Tidings Assembly of God’s fellowship hall in Wewahitchka. We welcome everyone to attend and find out what plans we have for upcoming events, fundraisers and community projects. Come and hear how you can be a part of 85-year-old club and being a volunteer to make a positive difference in your community and more.
