Over 70 spectacular photographs are now on display at The Joe Center for the Arts in the “Thru the Lens” Photography Show.
Join us at the opening reception on Friday, April 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. Local and regional artists are sharing their best work in three categories: Magical Places, Nature, and Creative (Altered Reality.) From exotic places to their own backyard, these photographers have captured a moment in time that celebrates the beauty that surrounds us. Come meet the photographers and hear the story behind the photo that inspired them to capture that moment.
John Spohrer, juror for the show, will be awarding prizes at the reception and each photographer will be able to vote for “Photographer’s Choice.”
Spohrer will do a presentation on “The Art of Waterscape Photography: From Monet to the Forgotten Coast” on Friday, April 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. ET at The Joe Center for the Arts at 201 Reid Ave. in Port St. Joe. He also is donating a beautiful photo for a silent auction. The proceeds of this auction will go to St. Joseph Bay Humane Society.
