Alex Williams ran for 131 yards and passed for another 52 as Wewahitchka Jr./Sr. High School won its regular-season opener.
The 33-18 victory at Cottondale leads to a visit from Franklin County 8 p.m. ET Friday at Gator Field.
The Gators ran wild against Cottondale, averaging more than nine yards per carry, with 326 rushing yards on 36 carries.
Williams needed just 13 carries to amass his 131 yards and added two touchdowns.
Landon Hysmith had 51 yards and a touchdown on just three carries.
Zay McDaniel also topped 100 rushing yards with 101 yards and two touchdowns on just 12 carries; Keegan Calhoun added another 43 yards on eight carries.
Hysmith caught two passes for 46 yards and Calhoun had one catch for six yards as Williams attempted just four passes, completing three.
The Gators overall totaled 378 yards of offense.
Luke Hjort was 3 for 4 with point-after kicks.
Franklin County enters the game also 1-0, having squeaked out a 7-0 home win over North Bay Haven last week.
