Carol Elam


Mrs. Vina Carolyn “Carol” Elam, 73, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at her home in Wewahitchka.

Carol was born on Dec. 26, 1947 in Hazard, Kentucky to Clyde Creech and Gladys (Dixon) Creech. She was a homemaker. Carol had lived in Wewahitchka since 2014, coming from Richmond, Kentucky.

She was a member of Sounds of Freedom Apostolic Church in Wewahitchka. Carol loved yard work, such as cutting the grass and burning trash, and enjoyed shopping. Her favorite pastime was going to church.

She is preceded in death by her father Clyde Creech, husband Robin “Rob” Elam, brother Henry Creech, and sister-in-law Barbara Creech.

She is survived by her mother, Gladys Creech, of Wewahitchka; daughters Rhonda (Billy) Lake, and Robin Renee Elam, all of Wewahitchka; grandson Tyler William Lake, of Wewahitchka; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 9 at 10 a.m. CDT at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown, with Rev. Michael Sewell officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 8 from 6 until 8 p.m. CDT at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown. Interment will follow at Buckhorn Cemetery in Wewahitchka. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown.
